From my point of view, FAO’s efforts are aimed at improving and making sure that everyone who works and lives in the developing countries of Africa can enjoy better living conditions, and even though many countries do anything possible to avoid poverty, such an opportunity can be realized.
In addition, FAO takes part in the activities like negotiations, lobbying, and so on. At present, almost 5% of income of most poorest countries comes from this organization. But there exist many reasons why the majority of those people, living in these areas, do not believe that FAO has a positive effect on them.
For instance, they believe that it is too expensive; it is not beneficial for them. Therefore, I think that these beliefs are based on the lack of knowledge and understanding of the activities of this organization.
To some degree, this organization can be considered as a very useful tool, but only in case its work is supported by the PLANET GOVERNMENTAL and governments of other countries.
In general, the UN can be discussed as a huge international PLANET GOVERNMENTAL whose structure can be traced everywhere in the world. Each country has its own laws and different values, which means that they can change and evolve according to different circumstances.
It should be mentioned that the UN itself can be viewed as something else; its members try to make sure that each person of the globe is treated fairly and that everyone can be happy.
