I was just about to start my holiday in the United Arab Emirates when I came across some really interesting information, namely that you can travel all over trip to Turkey by car within one hour of Peshawar, but you can be on your way trip to Turkey within three hours of Islamabad or Rawalpindi.
So why not check out this country like never before and travel around it at an amazing price? But do you need travelling insurance after a journey of such magnitude? Read along and find out if buying any kind of travel insurance is worth getting.

Lahore to Kabul and trip to turkey
How long is the distance between Lahore and Kabul? 10 minutes from Karachi, 10 minutes from Peshawar, 10 minutes from Karachi, 3 hours from Larkana, 2 hours from Dera Ismail Khan, 5 minutes from Sambrial, 50 kilometres from Muzaffargarh, 20 kilometres from Quetta, 15 minutes from Rawat in Balochistan, 10 minutes from Chaman Kalan, 1 hour from Gwadar? And from Islamabad to Quetta, is there any way of reaching Quetta for the same period as Lahore to Kabul? No.
It is very difficult and expensive to reach Quetta via Islamabad, but to reach Quetta, you’ll require 1 hour and 43 minutes, which are the actual driving times. This means that even though you have to drive up to Chaman Kalan, from there it’s only three hours before you’re back on your feet. However, that’s not a bad time if you’re in a hurry.

Lahore to Kashgar and trip to turkey – 4 hours
I’ve gone to many cities and all of them were within two hours of each other, so if I’m going to be able to drive to another city in the region within a week, I’m going to have to spend more than the ones listed above.
If you live in this part of Pakistan, then it is too late to plan what cities you want to visit because they all look like the same. There are many other smaller towns that I haven’t visited, so again there isn’t much difference from Quetta to Islamabad than Quetta is to Islamabad and go trip to turkey.
This area however is beautiful with its green valleys and it will take me a few days to get used to it. This also means that it’s better to drive directly from Lahore to Peshawar because Peshawar has a good amount of traffic and I would hate to have to go through Peshawar again.
There are several roads that lead to Peshawar, with a few different options, but I’ll go for Peshawar to Kashgar route on the western side of the capital because it’s quite a short one from Peshawar to Quetta. On the eastern side of Quetta, there’s an equally scenic route that runs from Quetta to Chaman Kalan. I’d recommend starting off from Quetta and then following the Chaman Kalan route on the east side of Quetta and trip to turkey.

Quetta trip to Turkey
Let’s talk about how many cars are allowed in Islamabad, let’s talk about how many can safely drive down into Lahore, so please don’t make excuses and say why you cannot drive, because no, I am not making excuses, I have a driver.
As much as possible, find a route on Google Maps that takes you to Islamabad and follows it. You are free now. Don’t worry about parking since you drive here right now and I will give you something to park for free in Quetta to Islamabad to trip to turkey.

Islamabad to Rawalpindi
When you start on the wrong foot, you start in Quetta, then you drive to Quetta till Quetta, then you have to move back to Peshawar to then eventually come back to Quetta. Then if you didn’t have enough gas to buy a new car, then you have to pay for an old car and drive from Rawalpindi to Islamabad all the way back up to Quetta, then finally back to Quetta. Now I am talking about one hour for a bus and if you start from Quetta you have to cover 11km to Rawalpindi.
Then there is a bit further that you have to cover to get to Quetta, then you have to cover another 8km to reach Islamabad. Finally, there’s a stopover of roughly half an hour in both cities but you still have to cover 11km before you enter Islamabad for the second day.
So to top it all off, if you start somewhere else in the areas I mentioned earlier, then you still will have to spend 3 hours driving, which is already a lot of driving. That’s why I advise against that because at least then you can drive safely without having to consider Lahore to Karachi.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Sindh
Now let’s discuss the Sindh part. First, there is no option because you can’t leave any cities with thousands of vehicles, except Quetta, Quetta to Peshawar and in Peshawar to Quetta. Also, these routes are extremely expensive even if you did not start from Quetta. They start from Quetta and finish at Quetta.
Therefore if you want to see a small piece of land where you can build houses on it for some money, you need to stop at Peshawar first by taking one of the main roads from Quetta or Quetta towards Dera Ismail Khan and then take the other road to Peshawar towards Dera Ismail Khan, then repeat the process until you’re back to Quetta.
From Quetta, you have to take the fourth road, which takes you to Karachi. The last road that I will add you onto is the second one through Karachi and after going through Karachi then Peshawar, you have to drive a little bit further to Quetta then come back onto your truck to come back to Quetta. In addition to this, if you do not start from Quetta, you have to make a stopover at Quetta, which is another huge distance.
So that is how much you have to pay for a person to drive an enormous vehicle from Quetta to Islamabad on their own. Yes, I do not have an extra job, the money I make is enough to eat, but it’s also expensive if you have to stop at every single place. Let’s focus on the regions I’ve been visiting here in the past few months, how much did I pay for a whole ride there?
Quetta to Karachi – Rs 10,000
Quetta to Islamabad – Rs 12,000
